AHLAN is a metered electric taxi service for Zanzibar. Passengers book trips through a mobile app and travel in company-standard electric vans with transparent, distance-based fares.
AHLAN focuses on high-demand tourist and transit corridors including Abeid Amani Karume International Airport, Stone Town, and selected coastal resort routes.
Fares follow a published metered tariff based on distance, time, and approved special cases such as airport transfers. Riders see the fare basis in the app before confirming a trip.
Yes. Existing licensed drivers can trade in their petrol vehicle, receive credit against the cost of an electric van, and repay the remaining balance gradually from trip earnings over 3 to 5 years.
